In today's "More good news for Matt Stigliano"...

Yesterday I received an email from the National Association of Realtors® President-Elect Vicki Cox Golder about NAR Committees for 2010.  The email explained that NAR was attempted to engage some new voices in real estate on the committees and had worked up a program that would allow people who might not otherwise be considered for committee positions a chance to help shape the future of the Association and give a new perspective of the issues that affect all of us.

I am one of those people.  Thanks to Todd Carpenter, NAR's social media manager, who dropped my name after conversing with me and reading my comments and posts at AgentGenius, I was selected to be a part of this new pilot program.

I think it's a great idea for NAR and I gladly accepted (it was one of my goals to eventually involve myself in the committees on a national level).  I look forward to learning more about how NAR works, helping shape ideas and NAR itself, and telling you what I'm finding out.

Want to see what other's think about it?  Check out "Is NAR Moving In The Right Direction? Am I?" at AgentGenius.  I look forward to being a part of this and hope this works well for NAR so that they can continue it into the future.
