I've always loved thunderstorms.
Today was a gorgeous day, but a storm was on its way. As it approached and I noticed the change, I went into the middle of my street to check it out. The above photo is the approaching storm as it built up on what had been a perfect, gorgeous day. I decided to use the photos for my San Antonio Camera Phone series on my RErockstar site. I didn't want to write an essay of the storm though, so I had more photos than I needed or thought would look good in the post, but I wanted to share them here. They were all quick snaps with my iPhone, no filtering or editing. I have to say, I'm impressed with the iPhone's camera so far. Time for me to be quiet and let you enjoy the photos (click on any of the photos to see the original post at RErockstar).

Very nice quality! Love the last pic - for me, there are few things better than a summer thunderstorm right after things settle down for the day.

Linda - They always appreciated when it's been humid for a few days - nothing like clearing the air a bit. We're in a pattern right now, we had them yesterday and a big one last night. We expect more today.
Valerie - The second one came out pretty great. The trick with the iPhone is to move it around a bit and see where the auto adjusting white balance and focus seem to look best, then hold very still and take the shot. My weeds are doing well.

Wow! Nice shots. I wish my camera phone took shots that were that sharp and clear. Great job!
Mark - If you have AT&T and want an iPhone, shop online - you can get an 8GB 3G for $99 (instead of $199). It's the only reason I was able to move to one, their too expensive otherwise. It cost me the same to get an iPhone as it would have to buy a new Blackberry after mine broke.
