Want to build a new green home in Northwest San Antonio? Check out Imagine Homes at Stillwater Ranch.

The entrance to Stillwater Ranch in Northwest San Antonio.

Welcome home to Stillwater Ranch.

If you're thinking of building a new green home in Northwest San Antonio, Stillwater Ranch and Imagine Homes may be the perfect place for you.  Imagine being only 2 miles from Loop 1604 (map), but feeling more like you're living in the Hill Country.  A serene setting with open spaces, a community lake, and wooded areas all around you.  Imagine Homes (along with Wall Homes and New Leaf Homes) have started building in this master planned community and once you've seen it, you'll start imagining yourself living there too.

Imagine Homes has already been recognized for it's use of green technology here in San Antonio, but have you ever experienced the difference their homes make?  Using tankless water heaters, low-e double pane windows, native Texas drought tolerant landscaping, Demilec spray foam insulation, and many other features, Imagine Homes is able to build a home that not only will save you money on your electric bills, but will also help you be a responsible steward in our community.    You won't believe how cool your attic can be until you've seen the model home (a Lilac floor plan) in Stillwater Ranch.

Of course, like any great neighborhood, Stillwater Ranch has a fantastic amenity center.  Pool, tennis courts, playground, and basketball court all combine to make this a recreation paradise.  Prefer to do some walking?  Hiking trails through out the development will continue to expand as the community grows giving you safe walking paths through the entire neighborhood.

Still in the early stages of development, you can choose your lot and build a new home to match your needs and desires.  If you've never seen Imagine Homes list of standard options, you'll be amazed at how much they offer you without adding extra to your cost.  Of course, if you want to upgrade or change, they are more than willing to work with you in making it happen.

Hi Matt, Love the slide show of this brand new neighborhood... and I love the crape myrtles at the entrance.

Shirley - If you get a chance go take a look at the model home.  Not sure if you've ever seen an Imagine Homes model before, but they're incredible.  Top it off with all the energy efficient systems and you've got an amazing home.  I was a fan before, but now I'm a big fan!

Hey Matt, I've been completely off the grid until last week and it looks like I better turn out a neighborhood post right away! This is a good looking post but for some reason the black box at the bottom is not displaying anything?!?!?! Hope you are doing well!

Russell - I've been doing the neighborhood posts for awhile on my own site and they work magic.  Watching Google Analytics only proves to me that consumers are searching for these posts.  They want information and I intend to give it to them.

I'm glad to see you, I know you've been running around like a madman lately.  Me too!  This is the busiest month for me and it's about to get even busier thanks to some buyers who are ready to roll.  Love my new office and love the busy-style of work that has come with it!  Hope you're well too!

I am really digging the idx built right in.  I need to get with it & figure that out.

Russell - It turns out the black box you're seeing is caused by Flickr once again messing up my account there.  The first time I shrugged it off, but this time it is a pro account (ie, I paid money for it) and I'm getting no response from their customer support.  EPIC FAIL.

Kristin - ARE-TEC rules.  I just took a look at mymetrocom.com to see if I could crack the code to their URLs but so far no luck.  I'll have to investigate further.

I like the Green Thingy in the new homes. Almost makes me want to sell out and start all over. Our home is almost 50 years old and there is not a thing "green" after this drought. Maybe I should get some drought tolerant turf grass. Nice blog presentation Matt.

Carl and Ceil - I know what you mean about the drought and green.  My grass went so dry during the beginning of the drought that it has actually just disappeared.  Instead of brown grass, I have brown, sun-baked earth in my backyard.  Except for the "little patch that could" - it's hanging in there somehow.  I love some of the new green technology in building.  Imagine Homes is actually meeting 2012 standards with their buildings already.  They're ahead of the curve and I can't wait to see more from them.
