I TOTALY AGREE. MIKE lEAHEY WITH PRECISE HOME INSPECTIONS INSPECTED MY HOME AND HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL, FREINDLY, PRECISE AND THOROUGH. HE TOOK THE TIME TO WALK US THRU THE HOME AND EXPLAINED EVERY DETAIL TO US. I HAD A VERY PLEASANT AND INFORMATIVE HOME INSPECTION, NOT LIKE OTHER HOME INSPECTORS THAT ARE RUDE,  UNFREINDLY, AND THEY DON'T LIKE WHEN YOU ASK THEM QUESTIONS DURING THE INSPECTION AND MUCH LESS LETS YOU WALK WITH HIM THRU OUT THE HOME AS HE IS EXPLAINING WHAT HE IS DOING, (I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ONE TIME, I WON'T MENTION ANY NAMES). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MIKE LEAHEY WITH PRECISE HOME INSPECTIONS TO INSPECT YOUR NEXT HOME.

Tere - Thanks for stopping by and giving us your story of working with Mike.  I couldn't agree more.  I wish I had known him when I bought my house in San Antonio!  Your point about him taking the time to educate the client and explain what he's doing is right on point.  I learn tons when I'm at the inspections and Mike's a good guy as well.  Nice to talk with and spend some time poking around a house with.

MIKE LEAHEY OF PRECISE HOME INSPECTIONS OVERLOOKED A MAJOR GAS LEAK IN MY HOUSE. GREY FOREST UTILITIES INFORMED ME THAT THIS SORT OF LEAK DOES NOT OCCUR OVER NIGHT AND THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED BY MY INSPECTOR, MIKE LEAHEY. I DISCOVERED THE LEAK MYSELF WHILE CHANGING AN AIR FILTER. THE LEAK WAS A 28% LEAK, ACCORDING TO GREY FOREST UTILITIES WHICH IS A VERY MAJOR LEAK AS IS ANY GAS LEAK. AFTER INFORMING MIKE LEAHEY OF THIS HE TOLD ME THAT HE ONLY INSPECTS FOR GAS IF HE SMELLS IT .I GUESS HIS NOSE WAS NOT WORKING ON THE DAY OF THE INSPECTION. I ALSO CONTACTED MULTIPLE OTHER INSPECTORS WHO INFORMED ME THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GAS CHECK WETHER GAS WAS SMELLED OR NOT (ESP BECAUSE THE HOUSE I PURCHASED IS 30 YEARS OLD). ANY GOOD INSPECTOR WILL CHECK FOR A GAS LEAK REGARDLESS OF SMELL OR NOT. ALSO BE AWARE MIKE LEAHEY WILL ACT LIKE YOUR FRIEND AND TELL YOU EVERYTHING IS OK WHEN IT IS NOT. NOW THAT I AM MOVED IN TO MY HOUSE I HAVE ALSO FOUND MULTIPLE INOPERABLE OUTLETS WITH NO ELECTRICITY FLOW. WHILE IN THE ATTIC WITH MIKE LEAHEY I ALSO FOUND AND EXPOSED WIRE THAT HE HAD ALSO OVERLOOKED. THIS WAS A VERY SERIOUS INCIDENT AS I HAVE HAD CONTRACTORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN AND OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR WEEKS NOW DOING REPAIRS ON LIGHTING FIXTURES AND FLOORS. USERS BEWARE OF MIKE LEAHEY...HE ONLY DETECTS FOR GAS IF HE SMELLS IT. HE WAS ALSO VERY RUDE TO ME WHILE SPEAKING TO HIM ON THE PHONE, AS I WAS LETTING HIM KNOW ABOUT THIS MAJOR DISCREPANCIE HE HAD OVERLOOKED.
