If you're in San Antonio, you love the Spurs.
I'm not much of a basketball fan, I admit. Since I'm from the cold confines of Philadelphia, I'm more of a hockey junkie. Regardless of my feelings however, the Spurs are worshiped out here. Well, now is your chance to meet Matt Bonner. Saturday, March 21, 2009 between 1 and 3 PM, Matt will be hanging out at the H-E-B Alon Market at 8503 NW Military Highway, San Antonio, TX 78230 (map). You can also meet local morning show radio personality, Woody from 94.1 KTFM. Sounds great, right...?
But wait! There's more!
They will also be handing out samples of H-E-B's Creamy Creations ice cream. Since Spring has just arrived and we're already experiencing temperatures in the mid-80s, this weekend would be a perfect opportunity to go grab some ice cream. So now you've got a great Saturday afternoon, right...?
No, its not over yet!
After finishing up over at the H-E-B Alon Market, why not stop by KB Home's Woods Of Alon and say hello to me! I'll be holding an open house at 2903 Zurich, San Antonio, TX 78230 (just head south on NW Military after exiting H-E-B and it will be the development just past the H-E-B on the right - they have a big sign out front). Look for my open house signs and come see me, the house, and learn a bit about the Woods Of Alon. Open house hours are noon-4 PM.
I like peanut butter/chocolate ice cream in case any one was wondering.

You are so right about the Spurs, Matt! I love Blue Bell ice cream but we often buy HEB's Creamy Creations, which we also love. Do they make peanut butter/chocolate? I don't remember seeing that one.
Shirley - I'm not sure if they do make it or not. I haven't bought it in a long time, because back in PA we went to Merrymead Farm which had the most amazing peanut butter/chocolate ice cream the world will ever know...so nothing compares. Plus my wife isn't a big fan of peanut butter and buying a tub all for me isn't allowed in my house. Haha.
Matt - I think the highlight would definitely be stopping by the open house. The Spurs are okay too : )
Christopher and Stephanie - Its not like Eric Lindross is going to be there, but hey, its San Antonio, so I guess they wouldn't care much about him. I just want someone to bring me ice cream!
Dude...you are tenacious, an open house on a Saturday? Maybe it works in S.A.? On the other hand, I will go anywhere for free ice cream and I agree with Shirley about Blue Bell! It's absolutelt the best commercially produced ice cream on the planet!
Russell - I've done some on Saturdays here with some success. Sunday is definitely a better day I think. This is a new home community, so I could probably do one on a Tuesday and still get someone to stop by. Blue Bell is pretty delicious I will admit. When my wife and I crave ice cream, we like to get some. But for day to day ice cream use - HEB does a great job.
Matt, loved your infomercial! lolol! The excitment was building with each "offer" you made. And I'm with you on the peanut butter/chocolate ice cream. Hey is that a "Philly" thing? Figured as much since that's we're both from.
Amber - Did you happen to see the post after this one? I was gutted. I think the peanut butter/chocolate ice cream thing is a bit of a PA addiction. I don't see nearly as much of it outside of the area. According to my wife, America is obsessed by the peanut butter and chocolate combination.
